I'd like to know how many people are having trouble with the spell check feature. I have no problem using it, however it may work a little differently than other spell checks.

When the spellcheck is toggled, it puts a red line under the misspelled word within the post. A drop down of suggestions doesn't appear until the misspelled (red underlined) word is scrolled over.

Please let me know if you are having trouble and what the "symtoms" are so I can try to resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Susan

First, thanks for the compliment on the site. That is very nice to hear and we really appreciate the kind words.

Now, regarding your other questions. We have now activated the user option to sort each topic in either ascending or descending order. So, when you click a topic, if you will click the wrench tool you will now see that you have the option of sorting by newest to oldest or vice-versa. You will need to choose that feature for each topic but then it will hold your settings for future sessions.

As for the other, we have not found a feature on this particular bulletin board program that will allow you to choose a setting that will take you directly to the newest unread post. That sounds like a feature I would appreciate as well – however it is not available.

You can, however, subscribe to "watched topics" or "subscribed topics" (located at the bottom, left-hand side within each topic). Once you do that then you are notified when new posts have been added through the little pink/red boxes located at the top right-hand portion of the forum page (you must be logged in to see them). When a new post occurs in your watched and/or subscribed to topic then the pink box turns red. When red box is clicked it will take you to the first unread post in the topics to which you subscribe. Does that make sense?

Thanks, Belinda-Marie…

Hey there,

First off, I want to say what a fabulous job you guys have done with this website! It's looks great and is easy and functional! I almost feel like I am in a physical class, because the discussions run so smoothly!

My question has to do with bulletin board cookies. Most of the other online forums I belong to, there are customized settings for how each user wants to view the board. Such as, when I click on a forum title (e.g. Character of God/Lesson 4), it will automatically take me to the first unread post in that forum...rather than the first post in that forum. This eliminates having to sort through 25 messages to find out where the discussion picks up since my last login. Another setting would be to change the order of the post (newest post on the top to bottom or bottom to top, depending on the user preference.)

Is there any such customization features for this forum?

Thanks in advance for your reply!

God Bless!

Belinda-Marie
