D = Discipline

God’s discipline, sated with love, is our wake up call to righteousness. A renewed mind can’t grasp the revelation of righteousness alone; this revelation requires that the heart be awakened by the voice of His love. To begin with discipline is to not only agree that God initiated a covenant with us, but to finally agree to fully receive it. A long persistence in the right direction is required if we are going to 'see' the place to which God has called us to abide.

A = Accountability

We are accountable for our personal relationship with God and we bear it in front of others. Because we genuinely want to run with the vision, we let the Holy Spirit lead us through the strategy that helps us sort out our thoughts and integrate His truth into our lives. Because of accountability we learn the freedom of open, honest relationships.

R = Relationship

We aim high in our relationships because no one advances by aiming low. Ready to explore ourselves the way God knows us, we drop all judgment in order to receive others and to encourage them to recognize and become all God knows them to be. We are ready to take responsibility for claiming our own lives and to express the fact that we are here as “selves for others.”

C = Community

Until everyone is able to operate from their true identity, community is us helping each other see where we are going. Community is the place where everything finally comes together—where God’s promises are realized—where the corporate ache is filled—where we lose ourselves to get our true selves back—where we actually experience our own self-giving nature—and where the whole is defined by the sum of its parts.
