Trust

I often substitute the word trust for faith because I can understand what it means to trust God enough to follow along wherever He leads. Trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone. This is a relationship word. Relationships are built on trust, and as we journalize, as we ‘keep the hots on’ it is a certainty that we will trust God more and more. Thats when our actions begin to line up with our beliefs. Then we see faith as the substance of the things hoped for. Faith is one of those words that has been so over-used, we don’t really grasp its meaning.Does anyone else find that? I find that faith seems like something I have to try to have. I know ‘I should’ have faith. Whereas when I substitute the word trust, it all comes back to relationship, it becomes about God, not me, and I know I can rest in my Father’s hands in perfect peace because I love and trust Him and that’s all that I need.
